One of the three Mexican farmhands for the farmer leasing the land next to my family's land (and who we pay to do some of the work on ours) went somewhere in Southern Mexico for the Christmas holidays and was murdered. We were a bit shocked and still don't know the where and why details. The other two workers say Mexico City and Guadalajara are safe and nice to visit though...
