Over the past ten days, the Trump administration’s foreign policy focus has moved from Latin America to the Middle East and Europe. Proposals for the US to occupy Gaza and potential Ukraine peace negotiations with Putin replaced proposals to occupy the Panama Canal and handshakes with Maduro.
