Mexico Security Update - January 2021
Homicides in 2020 ended close to the numbers in 2019, but there should be concern about large increases in three states plus targeted violence where homicide stats are down.
Initial data show Mexico had 35,484 homicides in 2020, just barely down from the 35,616 recorded by the SESNSP in 2019. That is about a 0.4% reduction.
