Haiti - Negotiations for change of government resume
The longer Ariel Henry remains in office without plans for a change in government, the more precarious the United States’ recognition of his government becomes.
Last week, Prime Minister of Haiti, Ariel Henry, resumed negotiations with the opposition coalition, the “Montana Accord”, for some kind of change in government. Negotiations between the Haitian government and the group had been on hold since February 14, and Henry met with Magalie Comeau Denis, one of the key figures leading the opposition bloc.
